WDPR 88.1 FM is your home in Dayton, Ohio for the very best in classical music and public radio programming. Since June 1998, this station has broadcast a signal 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The signal for this station reaches areas as far as Lima, Ohio, and Richmond and Fort Wayne, Indiana. The mission of Dayton Public radio is, according to their website located at dpr.org, “to provide classical music and fine arts programming that is entertaining, educational, informative and emotionally stimulating.” It’s their goal to be recognized as the premier broadcaster of classical music and fine arts programming in the U.S. As is usually the case with public radio, this station is funded by listener donations.
