The mission of this station is to connect with the community in Central New York, and give back to the community that supports the station. The programming schedule on WCNY Classic 91.3 FM starts out at midnight each day with Overnight Classics hosted by Peter Van De Graaff. Seven days a week, you can hear peter play the best classic music, whether you’re a night owl who hasn’t gone to bed yet, or whether you’re the early bird who’s just starting her day. At 6 AM, you will hear Classic Choices will Bill Shedden. Bill Baker comes in from 10 AM to 2 PM and offers you his selection of classic music hits. Bruce Paulsen takes you through the afternoons on the station, giving you classical music from 2 PM to 7 PM. From 7 PM to 8 PM, you will enjoy Exploring Music with Bill McLaughlin. Monday through Friday you can hear Evening Concerts from 8 PM to 10 PM. The day finishes off with Performance Today from 10 PM to midnight.
Throughout the day on WCNY 91.3 FM, you’ll also get news from National Public Radio. NPR news broadcasts at 6 AM, 7 AM, 8 AM, 10 AM, 12 PM, 2 PM, 4 PM, 5 PM, 6 PM, and at 10 PM. You’ll get the Metropolitan Opera, concerts from local music societies, Choral traditions and Saturday Classics on Saturday.
