The broadcast signal covers South Jersey, parts of Philadelphia and Delaware. The studios are located in the College of Communication on the campus of Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey. Twenty-four hours a day a staff of independent volunteers broadcast a variety of musical, cultural, educational, entertaining and informative programs of interest to the Rowan University and South Jersey communities. Anyone with an interest and something of interest to present to the Glassboro community is encouraged to participate in WGLS 89.7 FM's superlative programming schedule. Organizations for civil issues, performing arts, social services are all welcome; as are church groups, schools, local governmental agencies, local musicians and other individuals even if they are not affiliated to the Rowan University. These groups have the opportunity to share what matters most to them on the WGLS 89.7 FM in an effort to make life richer and more rewarding in the Glassboro area.WGLS 89.7 FM is the Glassboro region's most listened to community college radio station featuring the most interesting non commercial radio programming on the Glassboro New Jersey dial and serving the surrounding communities including Williamstown, Philadelphia, Hammonton, Bridgeton, Vineland, Mays Landing, Absecon, Willingboro, West Chester, and Wilmington. The range of alternative programming on WGLS 89.7 FM includes: 1 am to 7 am The Overnight Fight, 7 am to 9 am The Rowan Radio Early Bird Special, 9 am to 5 pm Classic Artists, 5 pm to 5:30 pm A community Affair, 5:30 pm to 6 pm WGLS Public Affairs, 6 pm to 9 pm The Microgroove, 9 pm to 1 am Rowan Radio Rock. |
