CHUO FM 89.1’s mission is to provide a high quality, community-oriented broadcast service to the people of the capital city area by providing a full-time schedule of music and culture, news and information; promoting acceptance, understanding, and cooperation between people and cultures; promoting awareness and discussion of global issues and culture; promoting awareness and discussion of local issues and activities; presenting artistic, cultural, and political perspectives which are underrepresented in mainstream media; fostering new and experimental uses of radio as a medium for Canadian creative expression in both official languages of English and French; and utlizing radio as a dynamic medium for dialogue, introspection, and cultural expression in the Ottawa Hull area.

CHUO FM 89.1 features an unique and fascinating bilingual blend of programming for the Ottawa area: Midnight to 8 am Radio France International, 8 am to 10 am Delire Matinal, 10 am to 11 am En tout et partout with Stéphanie Rhéaume, 11 am to Noon Double X with Kimberly, Noon to 2 pm The Latin Show with Otto Hernandez aka "DJ Ottomatic", 2 pm to 3 pm Kaleidescope, 3 pm to 4 pm Radio Radio, 4 pm to 5 pm Sur les planches with Véronique Rainville, 5 pm to 6 pm Demockery's Demise, 6 pm to 7 pm Pastiche, 7 pm to 9 pm Jeep Beats with Ben Jammin', 9 pm to 10 pm futurhythm, 10 pm to Midnight Reflections.

CHUO FM 89.1 "hears" what the audience wants to listen to, and what types of specialty programs they enjoy, thus CHUO FM 89.1 will continue updating the music library, make technical improvements, add more types of programs, and continue broadcasting to serve the needs of the Ottawa Hull community.
