The Tom Leykis Talk Show is considered to be among a different style of talk radio. It certainly isn’t dishwater and it’s not political and it sure isn’t shock radio. Shock radio is known to be very gratuitous and contrived. Instead of being like the other shows that rely heavily on in-studio guests and sidekicks, as well as prerecorded gags, Tom Leykis is virtually working completely alone when he is doing his four hour show moving at a pace that is so fast and he interacts with callers as well.
Since 1994, the show has been syndicated from Los Angeles and has been able to develop some basic trademark styles as time as passed and it has been able to nurture the audience.
The Early Life of Tom Leykis: Most of Tom Leykis’s early childhood was spent in the Bronx of N.Y.C. and Harry Leykis, his father worked within The New York Post. Eventually, the family moves to Long Island were Tom Leykis was able to finish his high school education. He was able to graduate at the age of sixteen. Soon after that, he decided that he was going to move away from his home so that he could attend Fordham University and study broadcasting - however, he ended up being forced out of school because of financial pressures.
The Executive Producer of this show is Gary Zabransky and the Associate Producer is Dean DeMillio. Gary has an impressive 15-year radio career and he has worked with many of the heavyweights in radio. |
