Michael Savage Radio

As Michael Savage, we have “The Savage Nation” which is Michael’s nationally syndicated radio talk show which reaches over ten million listeners on four hundred and ten different stations across the United States. The show ranks third among the number of stations that are nationally syndicated and it ranks third in the nationwide audience following behind Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh.

Michael Savage has summarized his approach to conservatism in three individual words: language, borders and culture. There are some listeners that have characterized his individual views as being a conservative nationalism. Michael Savage is a supporter of the movement of English only, a critic when it comes to illegal immigration, and states claims that same-sex marriage and liberalism are degrading the American culture. Even though his radio delivery is characterized sometimes by a rather confrontational approach and colorful language, most of his show is going to involve ruminating on different topics such as culture, history, personal anecdotes and health issues.

The Early Life of Michael Savage:
Michael Alan Weiner also known as Michael Savage was born into a Jewish family that had Russian origins and lived in the Bronx.

When Michael was a child, he had to work and he describes his childhood as being difficult because of his father’s personality which was profane and gruff. When his father reaches his fifties, he died from a heart attack.

Michael Savage graduated from Jamaica High School and attended Queens College which is where he received his bachelor’s degree in sociology and education.

After Michael graduated from college, he work for several years teaching high school in N.Y.C.

Carol Ely was his first wife, from whom he divorced then he remarried Janet, his current wife.

Michael worked for Timothy Leary who was a famous psychedelic drug advocate as his keeper of the stone gatehouse at his estate. He was then able to earn his master’s degree in anthropology and ethnobotany from the University of Hawaii.

Savage and Janet, his second wife have two children, a son and a daughter. His son Russell is the founder of the company that producers the popular energy drinks Rockstar which is where Janet works as chief financial officer.
