Personalities of The Don And Mike Show:
Mike O’ Meara and Don Geronimo co-host the show - these are the guys that talk way too much during the daily news brief given by Buzz Burbank. Currently, the show is being produced by Robb Spewak who was the former intern for the show. Joe Ardinger screens all of the phone calls, he is also known as the oldest phone screener in the world. Joe Ardinger is also known to contribute occasionally to the broadcasts and show which airs on WJFK-FM on Saturday nights. The Don and Mike radio show also consists of four new reporters: David Haines - was the original newsman for the program up until 89, he died on July 10th, 2005. Laurie Neff - is the second newsperson who is popular for the traffic accident. Dave Schreiber - up until 91, Dave served as the third newsman for the show which is when Buzz Burbank arrived and he continues to hold the position. WJFK-FM and WAVA both subscribe to traffic services from Metro Traffic which is the subsidiary of CBS radio. On XM Radio, the broadminded radio program has several former traffic reporters from Washington which include: Rob Carpenter Kim “Boomer” Anderson Chris Gamble Janet Delaney Stevie Bridgewater Shari Elliker June 2008, the Departure of Mike O’Meara: On February 4th, 2008 Don Geronimo made the announcement that he is going to be leaving the Don and Mike Show on the 30th of May. After his departure, the show is going to be referred to as the Mike O’ Meara Show and it is going to be produced by Matthew Verbin, a former radio program. Controversies of the Show: On the 16th of August, 1992 the pair made a broadcast from Memphis, Tennessee at Graceland. When there was a disagreement with Graceland, that day’s show was terminated. On the 16th of August, 1994, the show returned to the beloved Graceland again for the second time, in which, they broadcasted from a RV that was parked at the strip mall in Memphis. Later on in the program, they were able to broadcast live from the grave site of Elvis Presley. On the 14th of December, 1999 the show called a city council worker in El Cinezo, Texas and it then lampooned the decision made by the community to conduct all of the official business in the Spanish language.
