Noise Rock

The cultural origins of noise rock music rests in the nineteen eighties in Japan and America. The typical instruments that are used in noise rock are the drums, electronics, bass, and guitar. The mainstream popularity of this genre of music was nonexistent but following it was major underground.

History of Noise Rock:
Noise rockers has an early breed were influenced by the cacophonic skronk rock which the Monks possessed, the stark rock n’ roll that The Velvet Underground possessed, the Stooges bluster, Fifty Foot House from San Francisco, Les Rallizes Denudes from Japan all of which were the most expressive examples of krautrock which was the freak-rock and chaotic free jazz that was released on Lou Reed’s ESP Disk Label entitled “Metal Machine Music.

In the nineteen seventies, the most notable noise rock music bands were “The Pop Group”, “The Electric Eels”, and “Chrome”. During the nineteen eighties, the most notable noise rock music bands were “The Cows”, “Happy Flowers”, “Scratch Acid”, “The Boredoms”, “Live Skull”, “Killdozer”, “The Jesus Lizard” and “Big Black”.

Keep in mind that this is not all of the most notable artists of noise rock music; there are also very important rockers in the nineteen eighties, nineteen nineties, and two thousands.

Noise Rock Later In Time:
Later in time, the sound of noise rock was associated with the Japanese artists like Melt-Banana and Boredoms, who were able to incorporate the influences from the Japanese form of noise music even further and sometimes, adopted chaotic structures completely which created fast, short songs which were marked by the rhythm blasts, guitars that were extremely overloaded and screaming. There were even some bands that would draw their influences from the music genre black metal which is known to incorporate a bunch of tremolo.
