Future Pop

Traditional modern rock and rock mage forays into the pop music scene with newcomers and consecrated artists both introducing new songs to the pop music genre: (2000) Maria Maria, Smooth, and It’s My Life; (2001) Stuck in a Moment and Drops of Jupiter; (2003) This Love and (2005) Boulevard of Broken Dreams. The productions that were entirely digital integrated new sounds and technology, and as the electronic music genre entered into the mainstream, the pop artists began to start using remixers and producers that contributed all of their styles to this music genre. Some good examples would be Crazy and Feel Good Inc.

African Americans, once more have heartily contributed to pop music with their diverse styles. Some of the hits that were based in hip hop were the 2002 released of Dilemma and Hot in Herre and the 2003 releases of Ignition and In da Club. In 2004 you had Yeah and in 2005 you had Don’t Phunk with My Heart and Candy Shop. All of the other chart-toppers included variations of reggae beats.

International Appeal of Future Pop Music:
Within the new millennium, pop music’s international appeal was very evident, with artists that came from all around the world to influence the local variants and genre merging into the mainstream. In two thousand and two, Russia made its own breakthrough into the international charts with the song entitled All the Things She Said, this song was also able to top the Singles Chart in the United Kingdom.

The Latin pop music genre was able to be successful with the songs from Spain entitled Hero and The Ketchup Song. Latin pop music was also able to be successful with the Colombia releases of Hips Don’t Lie and Wherever.

Canada was able to enter into the charts with the release of That’s the Way It Is. The British artists did the exact same with You’re Beautiful in and You Give Me Something. As time has passed, there have been several countries and artists that have been able to enter into the mainstream of future pop with major hits on the charts, and it is these artists that have inspired pop music to be what it is today.
