Deathgrind

Deathgrind differs from the death metal music genre because of the fact that the guitar solos are normally shrieked rarity vocals that are more prominent as the main style of vocals and songs that are normally shorter in length and normally between one to three minutes. It is normally the band’s main objective to play atonal music with a high tempo with little to none passages.

However, this style of music differs from grindcore in a much more technical approach and less evident influence from hardcore punk and aesthetics. It is very important to note that this genre doesn’t include the grindcore groups that later became death metal groups like Napalm Death and Carcass, even though the latest offerings can be considered part of the Deathgrind music genre.

Some of the Deathgrind bands that are most notable are: Cattle Decapitation, Asesino, Cephalic Carnage, Brujeria, Pig Destroyer, Nasum and Rotten Sound.

The typical instruments that are used in Deathgrind include drums, vocals, bass guitars and regular guitars. The regional scenes for death grind are the United Kingdom and the United States.

Limited Information:
Today, there is very little information available for this genre of music mainly because it isn’t listed among the mainstream. However, there are a few avid followers as well as fans of deathgrind though it has remained very much an underground kind of music.

Grindcore in Relationship to Deathgrind:
When you look at grindcore as being a part of Deathgrind, you can see the it is mechanical self reduction that is done through riffs that are slamming destructive which cycles into entropy just like a society that is disintegrating, this music genre is for the purist that will never accept the personal integrity compromise and morality which has a social membership. The name comes from the overall grinding aspect of the atonal and often found to be chromatic or power chord riffs that are even-interval, which make a certain type of hardcore that actually grinds like grindcore.

This is where the purest grindcore is considered to be a celebration of death and life with a rejection that is inherent of authority in the favor of existential issues even though the thrash/grindcore genre is often found to be clotted with morality being masquerading as a different ness.
