Christian Bands
|
It might just seem like one genre, especially when an event as prestigious as the Grammy Awards tends to lump all Christian music into one category, Gospel, but if you were to look at it closely, you’ll find that there are different styles within it. There also seems to be a rather loose classification when it comes to radio stations so naturally, Christian bands themselves sometimes have to accept the fact that whatever the genre, they all get classified as one.
Christian Bands Within the Church: With so many churches being open to let the traditional form of worship wither fade away or change, the scene has been set for modern bands to perform within the environs of the church itself. Starting here, many bands have formed and gone on to make a name for themselves with recording companies. While some bands are very much part of the church and stay and grow there, many of them have moved on as fame and recording companies beckon. Christian Bands of Note: There are a number of names that figure on this list of awesome Christian bands. There’s More Than Electric Style which just gets your hands and feet tapping with its funky music style. Most of what they di9sh out is, to say the very least, electrifying. There’s the famous band, Wallpaper Pie that has such a perfect melding of guitar, drums and vocals that it comes across as smooth, real smooth. While their songs are basically based on the Book of Revelation, the music makes you want to jump up and dance. The British band, InDeo is a powerhouse of pop. It might be a Jesus message they are belting out but they seem to be singing like it were a performance of a lifetime. Sensational foot-stomping power. Torn CD by Neon Cross is worthy of mention too – a band that has been around for a while, they make their mark with music that just reverberates in your head once you have heard it. This is pure molten music and they have managed to weave in the message with such success. The other bands that would be a great listen are Brown Bear Music, Armor of Light, One April Day, Knot Eye and Connery Faire. |
